Our People
We are able to provide a quality service to our clients through the efforts of our team. Not only do we have a team with significant expertise and a willingness to communicate with and help our clients achieve as much independence as possible in all circumstances, we are also fortunate to have a number of bilingual staff further assisting ease of communication for our clients.
Flexible
It is important to have a system that enables our team to have the flexibility to work with client individual needs. An example is certain clients benefit from having their personal advances paid in small amounts every day Monday to Friday rather than once a week. We are able to structure a budget that works for the Individual and meets their needs.
Clients Regaining Control of their Finances
An Administration Order is a protective support to a person with a disability for as long as that individual requires support. We work closely with our clients to provide opportunity for the clients to regain control to a level that is appropriate to that individual at that point in time. An example would be gradual increases in responsibility such as initially taking control of a utility bill, then all utilities and finally all of their accounts. We assist clients to establish direct payment of certain accounts from their bank accounts to further ensure the smooth running of their household.
Clients Safe Transition to Independance
We further assist clients when they are ready to have the Administration Order Revoked (cancelled) by establishing Term Deposits or other appropriate investments strategies for any lump sums. This is done in consultation with the client. We also further again ensure all of the direct payments are operating effectively. In some instances clients choose to have a limited order remain in place or an Enduring Power of Attorney set up, whereby we continue to look after any lump sums they may have but they manage all of their income and expenditure on a day to day basis.
Our Fees
FTL Judge & Papaleo’s fees are set by the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal and outlined in each Order that is made. In special circumstances it is appropriate to change the fee structure and we have done so in the past. This special fee structure is outlined on the Order made by the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
